The Bolivia-Brazil Gas Pipeline is vital for energy and economic integration advances in Latin America. The existence of important natural gas reserves in our country is articulated by the latent demand from neighboring Brazil for clean energy, thus creating a commercial link between them. This transactional relationship, which covers needs and multiplies benefits for both countries, must be operated in its transportation phase, a task that falls on TBG (Transportadora Brasilera de Gas) in Brazil and GTB (Gas TransBoliviano), as the counterpart in charge of operating the pipeline in the section that corresponds to Bolivia. With an extension of 557 kilometers, the technical characteristics of the pipeline were constructed using the most modern and efficient transportation, compression and measuring technology that was available; it is the only one of its kind in the Southern Cone of South America and it is complemented by the latest computer technology for controlling and monitoring tasks.
